Short version: We do not collect, store, or share your photos or personal data. Your images are processed entirely within your browser. If you choose to email your photos, they are transmitted securely, sent once, and immediately deleted.
1. What data we collect
We collect minimal data:
Analytics: We use Google Analytics to understand how people use our website (pages visited, device type, country). This data is anonymised and does not include personal identifiers.
Contact form: If you submit a contact form, we store your name and email address only for the purpose of responding to your enquiry. We do not use this for marketing.
Statistics: We track a simple counter of the total number of photos processed on the platform. This count contains no personal information.
2. Your photos
Your images are processed entirely within your web browser using JavaScript. They are never uploaded to our servers during the resize process.
If you choose to email your photos to yourself, the images are transmitted to our mail server over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, sent to your email address immediately, and then permanently deleted from our systems. We do not store copies of your photos.
We store a temporary "resend token" (valid for 30 minutes) which allows you to resend to a corrected email address if you entered the wrong one. Once used, or once expired, this token and the associated images are permanently deleted.
3. Cookies
We use the following cookies:
- Google Analytics cookies (optional, analytics only)
- Session storage (browser-only, cleared when you close the tab) — used to pass your processed images between pages
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
4. Third-party services
- Google Analytics — website usage analytics
- Resend — email delivery service (images in transit only, not stored)
We do not sell or share your data with any other third parties.
5. Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law (UK GDPR / GDPR) you have the right to:
- Access any personal data we hold about you
- Request deletion of your personal data
- Object to processing

6. Data retention
- Photos: Never stored (or immediately deleted after email delivery)
- Contact enquiries: Deleted after 90 days
- Analytics data: Retained per Google Analytics default policy (26 months)
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page will reflect when it was last changed. Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
